It's only 20 miles from Lumberton HS to Hardin-Jefferson HS. I don't have a problem with a coach doing what he thinks is the best thing for his team to win. Coach Mitchell obviously thought his best chance of winning was being able to play at home so he took the chance. I have always believed that a district champion should be rewarded with hosting a 1st round game.

As for statewide, here are some upsets: 6A #4 seed Hebron beat #1 seed and #9 ranked Allen 3A #4 seed Brownfield beat #1 seed and #15 ranked Tornillo #4 seed Bowie beat #1 seed and #4 ranked Peaster 2A #3 seed Hearne beat #2 seed and #17 ranked Schulenburg (Hearne is coached by former Silsbee, PA Memorial coach Travis Williams)

That's wrong. They had that game with that score since Sunday night. Madison beat Pilot Point 81-49 last night.

That's not an upset. LaGrange district was not good. Got swept very easily. In fact, there were a few #4 seeds beat #1 seeds last night. Maybe 1 or 2 would be considered upsets. As for our area coverage, I would say Goose Creek Memorial beating Texas City was a slight upset. Also #4 seed Tenaha beating #1 seed Corrigan was a slight upset. Nothing really major.
