  1. The reassignment was based not just on this incident but an accumulation of write ups from other incidents. It's my understanding the others received write ups but I could have been told wrong.
  2. From what I was told, this was not the first incident. Robertson had been written up a few times before and it came down to this incident tipping the scale. What those write ups were about I have no clue. I was told this was the Supt. decision just as much as the AD.
  3. I will not post the particulars. Just saying he wasn't "railroaded" and reassigned based on his basketball achievements.
  4. I don't think anyone was "railroaded". His basketball achievements were not what got him reassigned. The coach did have other responsibilities that he failed to take care of from what I know. Like in many cases, he wasn't there just to coach basketball.
  5. If he is referring to LC-M, Jeffcoat was not fired or reassigned. He resigned.
  6. That simply isn't the case here. Also wasn't entirely his call. Taking orders so to speak.
  7. This could be saying something about the prospects of BC and LC-M basketball. The AD could be playing a factor as well.
  8. He was first assistant on varsity.
  9. Ortiz, who had not pitched all year, comes in the top of 7th and gives up 3 run homer. McNeese leads 14-4 headed to bottom of 7th
  10. A couple. Not privy to say just yet. I will say that Keithan Hancock, Travis Williams and Omar Sneed interviewed. I know who the other 4 are but was asked to not reveal just yet.
  11. Ryan Croy, assistant coach at Summer Creek will be the next head coach at Splendora.
  12. 8 have interviewed. I look for a hire within the next two weeks.
  13. I mean, 3 high schools in 4 years. One would think he is a military brat.
  14. Hasn't said yet. Waiting on the highest bidder. I predict this young man will attend more than 2 universities.
  15. Bridge City is officially open.
  16. I have been told that head coach Randall Robertson has been reassigned. Very curious as to what happened here. Coach Robertson has done very well as head coach. 2nd place finish in district last year which is the highest finish for the Cards in several decades.
  17. SEAL team did their job.
  18. Knowing the district that HJ plays in, those kids would stay ineligible for transferring for athletic reasons.
  19. Head Coach Jason Vela is stepping down as head basketball coach after 23 years. Coach Vela will remain at Splendora ISD as head golf coach. Another good one getting out of the basketball business.
  20. Only names I am hearing right now is Hancock at BU and Sneed at Lamar.
  21. I don't see Joubert applying. Doesn't want to give up AD title. Also has a really good team coming back.
  22. Head coach Clay Davis has resigned as head basketball coach at Hardin-Jefferson. Clay will be taking an Assistant Principle position at Splendora ISD so he will be leaving the coaching profession. Clay's wife has been working for Splendora ISD the last two years, commuting back and forth. Totally understand Coach Davis move here. This will be a very interesting hire. Don't expect a promotion. Will definitely be an outside hire. History rich program to a very good school district. Definitely will draw some interest. Good luck Coach on your new job. Hawk Basketball and gym just won't be the same without you. 20 years at HJ. I will miss our talks and watching you coach the game. Clay Davis record as head coach: Tatum/Jasper/Hardin-Jefferson 14 years 334-140 overall record 122-30 district record 9 district championships/co-championships 5 regional quarterfinals or better
  23. West Brook had theirs this past Saturday.
