With the merger of the two schools and the possibility of a completely new head coach in the area. I’m sure both schools will have more young men come out for the team that wasn’t part of the teams in years past and be part of history and be the first team to go through the new school.

Zach Bass would be a great hire. Former Nederland Bulldog on great teams, coached at La Porte during some great runs in the playoffs (old 5a) at the time and that PNG line here recently has been great since he has gotten there. I look for him to at least be a finalist. He would fit very well in Kirbyville with their athletes

Are either of the two teams participating in spring football league?

Why wouldn’t they move both the Beaumont schools into the DP NS LP district? If PA ever gains numbers back to put them in 6a that will be 3 in this area which they will hold a lot more weight come realignment time.

I know my coworkers that are central and ozen alumni are very upset about it but they are being open minded about it. This is for the best for the district. No one likes change but this is a good change. Beaumont will succeed a lot better with just 2 Hs in the district. Best of Luck with the merger

Well I got the AFC championship game right. And today’s NFC divisional game between the Vikings and saints will go to philly and beat them with ease. I would have to say my predictions so far are pretty good.

You are right, I keep forgeting, but with them in 5a I think they will just reload. They have a very good rb returning and some great players on defense and there 9th and JV teams were good. We will see how they are with even playing field for them. I think the reload and will be back in the playoffs

Coach Massey is a great guy. Best wishes on retirement. The next head coach is already on the staff... Nolan Patterson. He applied for the Nederland job last year great guy, very smart on the offensive side of the ball. And he will keep the tradition going in DP.
