Wos is in a class of their own in this region. First real test of the season next week, but I still expect a fairly comfortable win
-
Texas got a decent win tonight against Bama. They needed it after an underwhelming start to the season

HJ got beaten by New Braunfels 81-51 this morning. They have a good team, but did lose in OT yesterday evening to Laredo Nixon, who the hawks beat earlier in the tourney. Hopefully the hawks will bounce back in their next game.

I would assume videoing in an area where people of any age, but especially minors, are getting undressed would be illegal for obvious reasons. Just like a department store can't put video cameras in their dressing rooms to stop shoplifters -
Sounds like a heck of a game

I was all for waiting it out with strong and giving him every opportunity, but this season hasn't been mediocre enough to justify it. This was an aweful loss.

Great start to the 3rd!

El campo is 2 hours one way and Henderson is 3 hours the other. I'm not surprised there aren't many fans of either team that's active on this particular website

that's the funniest thing I've read on here in a long time. they were fine with God allowing people to murder innocent cops, and they were fine with God allowing thousands of inner city teens to kill each other each year, and they were fine with God allowing people to use social injustices (both real and imagined) as an excuse to rob, steal, and kill, but they have a problem with God "allowing" Trump to be elected. If they truly were Christians as they claimed, they're the most hypocritical and wishy washy Christians I've ever heard of, and growing up in the church I've been around plenty of hypocritical and wishy washy Christians.

I think I've pretty clearly stated why I take exception to it.

I've heard about a few of these incidents, and for the most part they sounded unbelievable, like something that had been made up to justify the hatred of trump and trump voters. This incident in particular rubbed the wrong way and sounded false. I'm glad to know that they figured out the truth, and also that she's been charged for her lies.

not at all. but when voting for a NATIONAL office, a national vote is in order, not a vote that is determined in any way by the amount of people in a state. Just like when we vote for governor... should we start delegating votes based on the size of counties? Should the counties around Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and El Paso be enough to elect democratic governors every year? Hardin county gets two votes, but Dallas County gets 40. And regardless of the breakdown of the voters in each county, all votes go to the winner of the county. It doesn't make any more sense here than it does nationally.

Whoa! -
this is truly unfair. it dilutes the individual voter's vote even further. 80,000 conservatives in Montana should not be able to cancel out 4,000,000 libs in California (I made those numbers up, but you get the point), just as the reverse that the district of Columbia should not cancel out the millions of conservatives in texas
-
There's no reason those several states should be MORE relevant in today's system than the big four. That being said, if you make every individual vote count to the total, all states become irrelevant, as they should in the process of electing a president. The president should be picked by all voting citizens of the country, rather than the handful of swing states.
-
you and I don't always agree, but you nailed this one.

I'm not a fan of the electoral college. I'd prefer for everyone's vote to count and whichever candidate gets the most votes to win the election. Considering that less than 10 states truly decide the election, that means that in over 40 states an individual pretty much knows their vote counts for nothing. That being said, in this system, the overall vote count for the election is irrelevant. Hillary may have won the popular vote, but there's no way to factor how many people didn't vote (on either side) because they lived somewhere like texas or California where the nominee was chosen before early voting had finished. Trump probably gets an extra half-million votes in Texas, and Hillary and extra half-million in California if the voters in those states could cast votes that actually counted for an overall tally.
