HJ is going to have to play a lot better tomorrow if they want to win. Argyle IS Burnet, only bigger and better on both the offensive and defensive ends. If HJ plays like they did today I think Argyle beats them by 10+. If HJ gets back to playing their game, I think it’s a coin flip.

HJ with a steal with about 6 seconds left, took it down and missed a layup, and got a meaningless putback at the buzzer. Final 49-44. Great defense on that last sequence by the hawks

Ballgame!

47-44 with :28 left, HJ with 1 and 1

I hate this keepaway crap. You play a certain way to get a nice lead and then it seems like it almost always dwindles down to next to nothing over a couple of minutes

42-34, 4:40 left!

38-31 hawks, 6 left

33-29 after 3!

HJ up 22-20 early 3rd

Neither one of these teams can play like this and beat whoever comes from the other side of the bracket

Ugly shooting game.

HJ looks like they should be able to wreck them down low on offense and on the boards, but they’ve gotta make their layups and putbacks

Hawks down 10-3 mid 1st.

How’s the schedule looking?

Nice!

Maxpreps has Amarillo taking down FB Hightower 64-53 in the other 5A semifinal.

Looking at max preps it looks like she’s only a freshman??

That final score is very generous to Poth. This was a 30+ point finish without woodville clearing the bench the last couple of minutes

43-16

These small school state games are always interesting. You never know what you’re gonna get. Didn’t expect this halftime score

37-11 at the half!

Poth finally scores with 1:30 left in the 2nd quarter. 37-11

Woodville is smoking them!

That’s about as close as it gets for a 1 vs 2 game. Now 4 and 7 face off!

4 good teams left.
