  1. Meh, who cares? They will always be moral victory U, mediocre U, etc. in the end, they are pushing an inferior product so whether, it’s Herman, Strong, Brown, whomever, if you can’t make that sale, you are in the wrong business. No one wants a Kia when you can have a Mercedes for the same price. And when your target customers are 18 year old athletes, should be even easier. On a more relevant note, those freshman DBs looked some kind of special, didn’t they? I didn’t even mind the Foster ejection. We need that kind of physicality. Now on to the in-state rival we’ve really struggled with, aka the conference upgrade. We will see if they can keep up this kind of tenacity. The most promising part of tonight was the OL. Regardless of how good or bad USC is, they are probably one of the two most “talented” teams we will face.
  2. Jalen Jackson - UNT commit. It’s news to me if he’s not playing. Definitely their best returning player.
  3. For those of you just getting introduced to Hakeem, he’s an animal on the field and an even better young man off of it. 5 rec for 174 yds and 2 tds so far against OU today. [Hidden Content]
  4. The Clemson Ga So game has nothing to do with aggy sucking. It’s take over a century to refine that level of suckiness.
  5. And btw, ihioga if the State ever made UT use property values from this century, it would surpass even Harvard in endowment.
  6. Also the two richest public schools overall in the country. Of course, little brother is less than half as rich as us. But if they continue the “anyone with a pulse” admissions policy, they may hit 100k students and then who knows? I also hear the University of Phoenix is looking for a partner...
  7. No just pointing out that when talking about ratings, no one tops your daddy. The game last weekend had almost as many viewers as the difference between the most viewed and second most viewed games of all time, both of which involved your daddy.
  8. As someone so eloquently put it to me very recently, he’s never seen an objection over a 5’2” kid from Chester. (No offense meant for anyone from Chester, you can insert Pineland, Fred, or any other small, but assuredly great small town community.)
  9. I honestly didn’t know that program existed. Thanks for ruining my night knowing I will never be able to enjoy what was surely must-see television. Especially if they let him have one of his meltdowns over a rack of ribs.
  10. That’s pretty good. Question: do you know what the two most watched college football games of all time have in common? Hint: they both involve the same team. And in all fairness USC was involved in two of the top 3. But the most watched had almost 5 million more viewers than No. 2 ( and both had more than 30 million viewers). But I would say 4 million sets of eyeballs in a loss is still banner-worthy in some places.
  11. I would bet any amount of money (if this was quantifiable) that Mack has watched the LHN more than me and I’m an alum. The obsession is real man. Very real.
  12. When you are used to choosing between the Omega Mu sisters, I’m sure it will be for you. I heard ESPN had their employees they could go to Austin this weekend (the consensus favorite CFB destination of their staffers per reports) in exchange for enduring last weekend in Collie Station. I don’t want you Ags to go into sensory overload with the girls in chaps, sweaters, etc. I believe it’s “Farm Week” on animal planet so just flip over to that channel when you are finished with your daily dose of the LHN....
  13. I have no idea. The weather is apparently abysmal there. I do predict a full house next Saturday and a larger viewing audience on Fox than the prime time game on ESPN tonight. But that’s what you expect when you match the premiere programs of 2 of the top football states in the county.
  14. Any place you can almost pencil in a W is special to a coach...
  15. They lost Mayer and Cunningham to graduation (and to Baylor and UT respectively). But Baker is easily the best of the bunch. He’s easily 6-11 if not 7 foot (saw him in July) and has a pretty amazing skill set for his size. He’s a legit pro-type prospect for sure. May be the best prospect in the state. Not surprised Silsbee beat them though. Didn’t think they had the guard play to deal with the Tigers. Two pretty impressive wins (albeit in a fall ball type scenario) for the Tigers this year. This SHOULD be the best team they’ve had and you could see it developing 4-5 years ago. However SHOULD doesn’t always mean it will be. But it will be fun to watch regardless.
  16. My favorite was “even the alphabet has more Ws than Texas”
  17. That’s not even close to the funniest one. Watch 5 minutes of game day this morning and see the obsession is still alive and well! Btw - Question - does aggy hoist the “we hosted Gameday” banner before the game today at Pyle or do they wait and have a special ceremony?
  18. Strake Jesuit is very, very good. Figured this would be a good one but I thought SJ’s offense would be too much. Thomas Gordon, their TE, is a beast (and a great kid). Committed to Northwestern (Big 10).
  19. Lmao! He’s happy to be mediocre in a different place. He’s just as salty that more people will be watching mediocre daddy over the course of the season than the new and improved jumbo/Gomer machine.
  20. Just saw that and popped over to see if anyone had posted anything here. Kid can definitely play. If any school in the state, any classification, has a better group of guards, I would be shocked.
  21. Pretty terrible. But on the bright side, never mind, can’t really think of one...
  22. Yeah, opening up admissions to make it about the 21st hardest school to into, in the state mind you, is an excellent move. Maybe it’s the sec culture, but more likely to become the biggest school in the state, and therefore the best, right? I mean, it certainly worked wonders for Arizona State and it’s academic reputation....
  23. Idk. I mean just because Wannstedt, Leinert, and Robert Smith agrees with you, I might have to go with the message board “genius” dissent. I mean clearly they probably have a better understanding of the game, routine idiotic posts aside...
