So did Esther's. Wasn't my favorite seafood joint but I did really like it. And my kids loved the whole experience there. I miss that place.

Haha! You have to learn from who beat you. Although I wholeheartedly disagree with what the pubs did, I guess in a way they drew the line. I say 4-8 years worth of filibusters sounds about right. The sitting 8 will do just fine. Just hope the old bird can hang on that long...

Charlie has been coaching for his job for most of the year. The next two games were going to be more of the same. But I believe Herman was auditioning for the job he covets tonight. And I predict he will be doing some New Year home shopping in Westlake or Lake Travis. And bringing back some familiar faces to our Capital city.

If only he could swag it up after those September wins in the locker room. Yessir that's a keeper you fellas have! In typical aggy fashion, you Gomers hire the one turd in the Cougar high punch bowl and lock him up at 5 mil a year...one of the surest things in this life - aggy gonna aggy!

This is very bad news for Charlie. The trigger fingers are getting happier in Austin...

Ruh roh Charlie. Big Game Tom is gunning for yo job!

Potential Texas Football Coaching SearchTxHoops replied to UTfanatic's topic in College Sports Forum A good start would have to admit he made a COLOSSAL mistake in letting Duane Akina go when he got the job and to beg him to come back from Stanford. Best position coach we had who put player after player in the league. Ironically, our secondary has sucked ever since. To be a top notch coach, you have to be able to evaluate and coach your coaches.

'Member when we thought Manny was the worst DC in Texas history...before we got Bedford...I 'member.

I tend to agree with you. I really don't know anyone that works harder than that kid either.

That was the knock coming out of high school, despite being able to score against bigger guys in summer ball (I saw one game against Myle Turner where he was surprisingly efficient). My concerns were alleviated his freshman year at UNO when they played A&M at CS over the Thanksgiving break. He scored on 2 or 3 consecutive possessions from the block against a 6-10 center. Having those wide McHale like shoulders helps. And his moves remind me a bit of McHale as well. If he had those 4 extra inches of height...

Hardin-Jefferson 110 West Orange-Stark 57/FINALTxHoops replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball Coach Davis has tremendously upgraded the Hawks schedule since taking over. And although this turned out to be a "walk" for HJ, I don't think scheduling former district rival (who is a playoff team more often than not recently) was a stretch.

Agreed. I've been very impressed with Tic so far. I thought he was a home run hire when they brought him in and still hopeful he will be.

What I hear is he has to win both of the remaining games to have a chance. That depends on some other variables as well. For instance, my personal belief is if U of H were to beat Louisville tonight, winning out may not even get it done for him.

Huge early win for the Cards and Coach Price to start the season 2-0! Hopefully they can keep it going on the West Coast and pick up another W against Fresno on Saturday. P.S. Thank you Patricia Knight for making us wait 2 years to see Weisbrod play for Lamar. FYI, the kid is pretty good.

Yep! Bring the chain gang D to Austin!

Potential Texas Football Coaching SearchTxHoops replied to UTfanatic's topic in College Sports Forum Peterson is easily a Top 5 coach in the country period. Boise St? Boise St was a perennial BCS threat and competitive when they got there. And then what he has done at U Dub. Having said that, he is not going anywhere. The northwest is where he needs to live due to climate for his son. He's not leaving that region or Washington. If he was so inclined, the only other job would be to travel south all the way down to Oregon. Dabo will wait his time where he is. The only spot he will leave for is to his alma mater when King Nick retires (or if he goes and takes another shot in the League).

Cornel Thompson. The best in the biz.

Lamar playing the Beavers on PAC 12 Network. Cards led by 4 at half and lead by 4 early in 2nd H. Colton Weisbrod with 8 and 5 in the first half.

Sorry. Aggy thought this was Miami-Ohio from the MAC. Wrong number...

Hardin-Jefferson 110 West Orange-Stark 57/FINALTxHoops replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball And while that team is top 5 in basically all the major scoring records nationally, they are second in the state. The 09-10 Yates team set virtually all the scoring records in the country. Of course, Yates did have the advantage of having a top notch communications program...

Hardin-Jefferson 110 West Orange-Stark 57/FINALTxHoops replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball That team AVERAGED just under 110 per game for the season. Nash is correct - their high game that year was over 150, it was 166. Could have been higher but they let off the gas in the second half - they had 96 AT HALF of that game.
