The rebounding is the main thing that will improve for Silsbee with the football guys. From a scoring perspective, what they have now is just as good as what they will add. With a lot of improvement and upside with the young guns. The fact that they are still playing football will benefit them in the long run because the freshmen are getting a lot of minutes they wouldn't be getting if all the kids were in uniform. BUT, as pointed out above, Barnes, Mackey, and Mike J will help immensely on the glass. And obviously, that is a huge part of success on the hardwoods.

No one watches? Is that why UT, as bad as they are, still claim one of the highest ratings for the season in viewership? Is that why they are worth 2.5 times the Aggies worth by the shoe companies, and turned down a deal that was almost 4 times as much? Simmer down little brother. As much as you want to "run this state," you never have and never will :(

And by the way, if OU is playing an SEC team for the NC, I am rooting for the SEC team. I would root for OU against ISIS though...

I mean, it's been our conference since the mid 90s. So "we" since then. I used we instead of the Big 12. Easier to type. But relax, we're still not chasing each other around naked, popping each other's butts with towels like you gomers.

Caleb Smith is a nice player and will be hard to replace. But without Patterson, they won't be repeating. If he goes prep, I would look out for whatever team comes out of our region.

The SEC basically has 2 teams ranked. We have 4 in the top 15. I am not counting the two crappy Mississippi teams ranked at the bottom of the poll. They were thrown in out of pity...

Dang, I didn't know the Tarleton game was an exhibition. We loaded up on games vs. schools in the A&M system this year. Got the real Aggies on Wednesday.

Memorial will be fine and should rapidly improve. They are pretty young with a new coach. I think they will have a decent year, not great, but will be competitive for the most part. Probably doesn't help that arguably kids who would be their two best players are at Kelly...

As I've been predicting, OU will win out and make the playoff. It's real easy for me to make predictions in football these days. Just predict exactly what I don't want to happen. My luck the gooners will win it all.

If we are talking Silsbee at full strength... I think the Silsbee/HJ games will be really close this year if that's any indicator. Silsbee is better defensively and would really test BS from that aspect. I would probably handicap it around Silsbee -5 or 6. But I would also say Silsbee would be favored over any school in the area with the exception of Central.

Let's not forget Mr. Adams either. 15 pts in a varsity debut as a freshman against a quality opponent - not too shabby. Great thing about both of those kids is they do so much more than score the ball. You can bet McCain had a fair share of assists and Adams passes, rebounds and defends really well.
