Speaketh the queen of moral victories... Congrats? i was speaking football of course...not fĂștbol.

I feel for you. Just glad I was alive for our last championship...
-
The Aggies should win this one fairly easily. If not, could be another disappointing season.

one of my top 5 favorite movie quotes of all time...

glad you know what you're talking about. And by "know what you're talking about," I mean you don't know your behind from your elbow. Stereotype all you want, but like any form of the practice, it comes from ignorance. These kids are being taken care of here because they came to the states hoping for a better life and were placed in a situation that wasn't much better. Their "guardian" or "handler" will spend thousands of dollars feeding, clothing and housing them so hopefully they can get a free education down the road. He is not paid to do so. But please continue to educate us on these people of whom you obviously know nothing about.
-
I won't go into details but the kids were in a bad situation in Atlanta. I can tell you they are thrilled to be where they are now.
-
they would have had to pay like other kids.

Definition of irony: Bert Bulemia taking umbrage at another coach running his mouth. "Pot, have you met kettle?"
-
you may be right. I'm not a beaumont guy so I don't know for sure. I thought the different high schools still have zones but you can go to another for certain reasons. Regardless, if there are or if there were, they live within the central zone (or former zone).
-
Guardian tried to get him in Kelly. Couldn't get that done. Guardian's residence is zoned for Central in public school. Not sure where "choosing" even comes into play here...

Not trying to rub salt in Buddy's wound. But couldn't find a video of the one play only. Watch Mahomes block at about the 1:08 mark. Pretty sure I've never seen a QB make a block like this:

East Side Shootout (North Shore)
TxHoops replied to Baller 93's topic in High School Boys Basketball
Both are very good. McCain is the best freshman in setx and one of the top ones in the state. -
KK's comments were hilarious but a bigger question is begged. How dumb is Bert? He goes on what is basically a goodwill recruiting jaunt in a state he needs to be successful. And he tells the room full of coaches, most of whom at the top schools run the spread, that they are idiots for running their offense. This guy is a real genius...

I always thought Chris Ault was one of the best coaches in CFB with what he was able to do with that program. I think Polian's son has a chance to keep them competitive.
-
Have predicted before he will be the next aggy coach. Still think it could happen.

In his second start as a freshman, Heard beats Vince Young's school record for total yards in a game. 527 yards (Young had 506 vs okie lite).

puff puff pass...

How did Nevada look? Serious question. They've had some pretty decent teams over the years.
-
Talked to one of my Tech buddies. Heard Mahomes had another great game. Ahem. Love Kliff's comments after game too. I wonder if Bret found today's game "erotic"?
-
Couple of post-game thoughts: Heard has a chance to be special. Real special. Defense is awful. Youngsters need to grow up quick. $8 tall boys at stadium are awesome. Real awesome.
-
They did not get here until after school had started. Every effort has been made to put these kids in the best situation possible after the unfortunate experience in Atlanta. Both are good kids that are adjusting and hopefully will have a much better experience in SETX.
-
Ha! But it's academics of course! Easily the best school in SETX where those are concerned.
-
If it's the kid I'm thinking of, he's still in Cleveland. There was some talk of him going to Kelly but he ended up staying there.

I am sure it is quite beautiful. And perhaps it is more of a second world country. But it does rank third in the world in terms of population of the extremely poor or people living in abject poverty. So I would guess it is safe to say the opportunities here (especially educationally) would greatly exceed what they had there. Which was my point...
-
Preach! We are talking about a young man who left a third world country and will be using his God-given talents to get opportunities he never would have gotten where he was born. And yes, part of that will be playing on a shoe circuit in front of literally hundreds of coaches. And, as Dove said, the circuits are there for multiple reasons, not the smallest of which is for the convenience of the NCAA coaches.
