My alma mater and the team that routinely bounced us from the playoffs when I was in HS in the 80s (Groveton) were and are the Indians. At the 2A level (now the 3A level), you get much less of the PC stuff. That and nobody gives a crap (in general) in small town Texas.
Fair enough and as you should! Wish I could see this one. I believe you were correct when you said it would be a close game. I voted Lufkin based on recent results but pulling for a Tiger upset.
One of the amazing things about the Pirate is how he could consistently pull upsets of your school (as several schools can attest) and yet you still had to love him. His wit, his irreverence, and his willingness to discuss almost ANY topic made him a rare commodity in CFB and even sports in general. When we lose one that is TRULY one of a kind, you know you've really lost something.
I thought about copying and pasting (because I’m too dumb to be able to post a screen shot on here) but I think that’s against the rules. But @BlueOwl did a good job of summarizing the post succinctly.
In all fairness, who could have predicted this??
(and because it’s THIS board, I feel compelled to note the heavy sarcasm intended above. Although I’m quite certain the OP would have known this, not sure all would!)
The “impeding breath” element makes that a felony by the way. Serious stuff.
I will say that based upon what I know from back when he was in Lubbock, no scenario will surprise me here. That is to say, his wife is known to be coo coo but that could mean any number of things here.
We are all entitled to our opinions. But you talk about TCU losing to a 3 loss K St team when Bama lost to a 4 loss LSU team. You point out K St lost to Tulane which makes me wonder how much football you’ve watched since Tulane is a top 20 team likely to get in a NY bowl game. Conversely, Bama lost to a 4 loss LSU team that just lost to a really bad A&M game (who will not even make a toilet bowl). So unless you are going for the name and history, Bama shouldn’t even be in this conversation. Hell put in Tennessee - same record and they beat the Tide head to head.
