  1. On the topic of the o/u wins, I have a buddy (not a longhorn) who bet $500 on the under 7.5. His average bet size is about a tenth of that. I have looked at the schedule and kind of like his bet but not for 10 units. I think there are 6 games they should win, 4 they should lose, and 2 that are very winnable. One thing to keep in mind is that win total bets do not include any postseason games (bowl games, conference championships, etc.)
  2. Disrespecting Lamar will not be tolerated, old ball coach!
  3. If you are a sports nut and don't have directv, you are doing yourself a disservice. I have had them all at varying times.
  4. In before Stevie responds to a question with another question...
  5. Bite your tongue! Fish/Tessio is going to hit a hundo!
  6. Permit to inquire if you would consider calling those who vote for Democrats "low information voters" would qualify as "name calling" or an "insult"? If not, would you agree that Rush Limbaugh, the man from whom Smitty and others got this term, certainly uses it as an insult? Would you not be able to concur that calling someone names and then complaining about the favor being returned is hypocritical (although to be fair, I haven't seen Smitty complain)? Finally, I don't disagree with you that he can post what he wants within the rules of the board. That is beside the point. You are also correct that no one will honor threads that are not compelling. In point of fact, I would submit that the majority of these cut and paste threads have no responses. And with the ones that do, it is usually a single comment of approval from you or LumRaiderFan. At the end of the day, if that's what you guys want this board to be, okay. It just gets to the point where those looking for a real discussion no longer visit it or post. And I would argue that is exactly what has happened with some of better contributors to this board.
  7. I like Rick Smith. He made a great HC hire, IMO, and has had some great drafts. As I stated prior to the draft, if he passed on Manziel and Johnny turned into a star, it would be hard to overcome. But c'mon, no one was drafting him first overall. His biggest problem is he doesn't have a QB and you can't win without one in this league. Hopefully someone steps it up. But let's not write off the season during the preseason please.
  8. Big time. And that's probably why - the most compelling players/teams are those people either love or hate. Indifference makes for poor ratings. Johnny, like LeBron on the other Cleveland team, fits that bill. Add to that he is one of the most exciting players to watch, and you have a ratings bonanza.
  9. I can't argue with you. Very compelling. Pats - agree with you on Tice. Weird seeing him as a OL coach.
  10. VERY well stated. Couldn't possibly agree more. With all of it.
  11. I had a sneaking suspicion it was you, AAW. I have no intention of continuing. I had an hour or so to kill and decided to make a point, as one who has stopped visiting or reading the forum very often.
  12. 😂😂😂 Whatever mod made this change, I applaud you. Rarely do I get a laugh that good. I will cease my thread creation frenzy. I am sure the point was not lost on all.

  14. I am not a huge NFL fan but do watch my Cowboys faithfully. But this show continues to be my favorite. When I heard they were doing the Falcons this year, I thought I might be less interested in it. I was wrong.
