  1. I thought I did when I quoted LRF’s post. That is a premise that has a ton of support, but hasn’t been proven with absolute certainty. So AGAIN, while many understand the difference, not sure you do. And not everything is liberal and conservative. Some of it is apolitical. But the low information folks on BOTH sides have trouble grasping that too.
  2. You are changing the narrative. Every time it gets really cold, you post something about global warming. Which indicates you don’t understand how climate change works. So you either do or you don’t. LRF understands the difference. I’m not sure you do.
  3. Ding ding ding - we have the correct answer. But it does appear “some” are saying it.
  4. You’re right about Paris too. No pushover.
  5. Oh didn’t know they were doing it that way. So definitely favors Yates. I would say the best three teams in the classification are FF, Argyle and Carter in no particular order. If Yates doesn’t have to face any of them until the Finals, sets up a much easier path for the Lions.
  6. Won’t affect Yates. Good news is it looks like you guys will have a cake walk to the Final 4. Bad news is once there, you’re probably at best the 3rd best team there Depending on the draw, could make it to the title game though.
  7. Oh it is absolutely true. It was a conscious decision to compete with the DFW districts who have been playing fast and loose with the rules for years.
  8. Their districts sure did. Although from what I heard, Hooohead is partly wrong. Huffman definitely voted against the kid being able to play for the school in the district where he has lived for some time (in one of the most chicken feces votes I’ve ever heard of by a DEC). My understanding is HJ voted to let the kid play. But I’m sure you’re right that the coaches weren’t the ones who were actually voting.
  9. By all accounts on here from folks who were actually there (and I know and trust ST413), trying to compare this with the brawl at the Bear Cave a few years ago seems more than a stretch. I’m not sure why some would seem so eager to see some kids’ seasons ended. I hated it when it happened back then, although I understood it.
  10. Are you trying to say that actually being at the game, really close to the action, is more reliable than what someone else “heard”?
  11. He may be talking about first round matchup.
  12. They are selling tickets online only, but HH creates a super spreader by storming the court after winning a seeding game. Geez Falcons, act like you’ve been there before.
  13. Only down 3 after that bad of a start...let’s get it going Hawks!
  14. Sure. I will take that even though I don’t like betting against my rooting interests. Pulling for Ned but think GCM wins.
  15. Don’t hold your breath. Seriously. You’re too young to leave this earth.
  16. Yes he did. But none were close to that team. That team took 2 of 3 from Silsbee that year as well.
  17. The 2013-14 team was the gold standard. MaxPreps says they won 28 games, I knew it was close to 30. They went to regionals, losing to Navasota in Huntsville. I believe that was also Jason Wilkins last year to coach, who was as good as I’ve seen in WO during my time here.
  18. I will wait for Nederland’s more impressive win than GCM’s over Manvel. By the way, they are considerably better than Barber’s Hill (which is a common opponent they beat by double digits). I would love the dogs to pull the upset but the best two, and probably 3, players on the floor won’t be wearing the black and gold. I thought @AggiesAreWe’s -4 was kinda light but I learned long ago to not argue with his handicapping.
  19. I predict Lumberton and WOS will be battling for 2nd next year. But let’s let this season play out and then that will be a good argument over the off season.
