That’s his Achilles heel imo. That’s the thing I like about Arceneaux - he lets the game come to him and rarely forces anything. Griggs is that score-first point guard that doesn’t always make the best decisions with the ball. He is supremely talented but that the one knock I have on him.

Well after seeing Foster take Hightower to the end twice (once in OT) and then seeing BU run them out of the gym, I wondered. Now Crosby is up big on Hightower going into the 4th, looks like we had an overrated situation over in that district! Eye on the prize Twolves!

Hightower is good and should be the game to see before State. However, Lancaster is the team to beat and has strengthened their lineup even more since the season began. They have a seasoned 4 year starter high major PG (A&M signee Wade Taylor). They have a couple of 6-5 wings who can go. And they have 2 6-9s and a 6-10. But I love the fight and grit of BU. I think they can play with anyone. I would love to see them slay 2 dragons on the way to their first State Championship.

Exactly. Actually I understood the rule in the playoffs because you have to keep the bracket moving. The rule made by this district was just lazy, unimaginative stupidity.

I do. That was the dumbest rule ever and cost Silsbee a share of the district championship. But you are right...once they instituted that asinine rule and enforced it against Vidor, there was no going back. Safe travels. Thanks for coming down. By the way, the Yates by 16 I can buy. I haven’t been able to see the Lions this season and only really know 2 of your kids’ games for sure. I would say Yates by 9 but that is a complete guess, other than looking at scores. If the youngsters from Silsbee catch fire they can make it a game and maybe pull the upset. If they cave to the relentless pressure, could get ugly. -9 is just a hedge. After this year though, Yates is going to need to step up that recruiting game and bolster the lineup to keep up with the maturing Tigers. Next year may be tricky with Mr Griggs having another year left. But still plenty of talent to go around in H town.
