I don’t think there’s a question as to who the best team in the district is.
-
And again.. it doesn't happen overnight. For a school to think they can bring in a coach and expect results before the junior high kids even make it to graduation is just about the dumbest thing that can be thought in the sports world. Has Hardin ever even had a football coach see 7th graders make to graduation?

Gene pools can be slowly overcome with time, culture change, and consistency, but it doesn’t happen overnight. We’re already having a conversation of a coach “playing kids out of position”.. or whatever other excuse can be made for being habitual losers. Well done, Hardin. You’ll never change.

Deweyville 30 Hull-Daisetta 22 /FINAL

I’m not defending anyone or anything. I wasn’t there. Just stating that sometimes penalties/fouls will seem lopsided for no other reason than it actually was. Comparing the number of flags thrown per team won’t convince me. -

Sometimes a team commits a lot more penalties.. because they just commit a lot more penalties. It’s not the job of the officiating crew to make sure there’s an equal amount of flags thrown for each team. -
I’ll take “Reasons Hardin will never be any good in football” for $500, Alex.

It is entirely possible for a team to play better/worse one week later. Or.. maybe HJ is a little better than you think. Or perhaps Silsbee is a little worse. I don’t know.

Montgomery Lake Creek 77 Dayton 21/FINAL

I was just meaning that it's a little funny. "The Hispanic influx hasn't had an impact on our football team. See.. we had a Hispanic All State kicker." A previous comment alluded to soccer usually being the sport of choice for said demographic. And then you throw out a kicker lol. I just thought it ironic and a little humorous. Yes, I'll agree that there are usually a number of variables that play a role into a usual competitive football program falling off. Shift of demographics still has to be considered. -

You're using a kicker as an example? -

Corpus Christi Calallen has a lot of players that are NOT Hispanic. And yes.. Region 4 also plays a part. [Hidden Content]-(corpus-christi,tx)/football/roster.htm -
Hate to say it.. but I've heard that the WH AD has been known to not be good for football programs. In the name of basketball I mean.

Is it true that Tarkington has a move in that did good things last night? That never hurts.

I meant who will be the one district win?

Who said it was a hoax? The reaction is the hoax... being killed in a plane crash isn't a hoax either. Doesn't stop people from continuing their lives. I feel sorry for the schools and kids that are held hostage by all of this. -
It was a joke. I was eluding to the idea that someone who would brag so much on a person.. could likely be that person. If you must know, I don’t know him. I do know I am not surprised AT ALL that he is no longer the coach. Hardin is somewhat predictable.

Coach Haynes, is that you?

Pretty funny. I've seen several different ones of this video.. all comical. -
Not every year but consistently over my time down here: Evadale, Nederaland, Silsbee, Barbers Hill, East Chambers.. Up for debate.

I don't think it would be the case if the student already lived in the school's attendance zone. -

I agree 100 percent. If a kid changes school in high school, sit a year. Keep in mind, though, that I believe you're underplaying the number of times it actually happens for what is being considered legal reasons. Many, many kids will be affected. Not that it'll hurt anything, but it's gonna cost a lot of varsity participation.
