Texas A&M vs. Arizona/AZ wins Game 1

Pence was rumored to be traded before and I e-mailed the Astros and threatened to never buy another ticket or watch them on tv ever again. The trade rumors stopped so I guess I need to contact them again. ;D
-
That will officially do end my being an Astros fan.
-
Lyles goes to his mouth on the mound. They don't call that? Barmes makes another great play at ss.
-
Carlos Lee, what an athlete! Let that ball drop in for a double without diving. Zambrano, what a putz.
15 Game winning streak starts now! !
Someone is very optimistic. I just like baseball. Maybe it's because it is less of a letdown than football if we lose.
-
Stros win 12-7.
-
Barmes is a good SS. Moving to his left and back-handing the ball to second for the force out ends the 8th inning for the Cubs.
-
Double play is an inning killer.
-
Went outside and enjoyed a margarita and missed what made it 8-6. Came back in and saw the error in left field making it 9-6. Go Stros!
-
Towles launches a solo HR making it 7-6 Stros!
-
Triple by Bourn, and back-to-back homers by Barmes and Pence ties it up 6-6 in the top of the 5th.
-
Great play Towles..... ::)

Thanks oldollie and Coog. It was not my intention to take anything away from the Ags, just trying to understand why winning all but one series all year long does not make a team the "champ". It does in high school and the pros. Like I said, gotta be some money involved.
-
Good job Ags, but I don't believe in conference championship tourneys for any sport. If two teams end up with identical records after the regular season, then head-to-head should determine the champ. It's got to be about money. Texas won every conference and non-conference series except for OK state. If the situations were reversed, then the Ags should have the same gripe as me.
Out. @ the ballgame and getting blown out 6-0. Carlos is a lazy piece of crap and a joke to MLB.
Even when we lose, I enjoy the trip to the park. Agree on the Lee comment. King, could we get anything for Lee?

Two teams ranked in the top ten (ok, Ags are 11), should share a title. Great season so far for both. Hook 'Em! -

Brock Pryor #55 Nederland Bulldogs Sophomore Highlights
baddog replied to phunter308's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I work with a man who shopped his kid around for scholarship purposes. He said that if you "wow" them with your highlight clips, then you might get scouted. Scouts can do extended game clips if wanted, but coaches put their faith in their scouts as to whether or not the kid is the real deal. If not, then why have the scout? In these clips, one can see his ability to shed blocks, his quickness to the ball, and his never giving up on the play by making tackles downfield that were run away from him. Does this mean he will be in the NFL HOF? Who knows, but at least he should be given a look see at 16-17 years of age instead of negativity. -
Only thing injured is his ego. Plus he can't pick up waitresses anymore since his lawyer advised him to take the drive-thru.

They used the muslim burial thing as it fit the hoax. When I heard he was supposedly shot in the face and within 4-5 hours dumped in the ocean, well, the first thing I thought was this is a con game. Then they said they would not release any photos as to not "spike the ball", so to speak. THEN -- he starts to brag on the campaign trail about killing bin laden. It all falls into place as a ruse... PS -- And you are right about cover-ups. the Kennedy assassination is one. I'll throw out another one for you: How about Watergate.. I'm learning things that this was NOT what the official reports said it was. I've had questions about Watergate in the past. And what I've learned recently, answers those questions to a tee!!
I was a longtime believer in Bin Laden being crushed in a cave by a daisy cutter bomb in Afghanistan. He was always an in-your-face type and I never saw him after that mountainous campaign. Supposedly, they got recordings from him, but for me that was iffy at best, as far as positively identifying the voice on the tapes. So, for me personally, he was dead. I do, however, believe now that he was killed in the recent raid. Too much involved to be staged....but then the Kennedy assassination comes to mind. My biggest problem is.....why did they have to follow Islamic protocol burying him within 24 hours? After all the man hours, countless lives, collaborations on strategies, and worldwide manhunts initiating the invasion of at least two countries, we finally kill the SOB. Are we really that afraid of offending someone? Give me a break.

Two comments here. Smitty, hurry up and write your book so that we all can be as enlightened as you. And Dog - the burial at sea thing is another example of our esteemed Commander In Chief placating the Muslims. Even Joe Biden is going to catch on to this guy sooner or later. (Look forward to your cut downs WOS8 and WESTEND1.)
Thanks to you and smitty for the explanations. The burial is the only thing that seems perverse. You mentioned Biden and "catching on" in the same sentence. You are an optimist.
