Pence was rumored to be traded before and I e-mailed the Astros and threatened to never buy another ticket or watch them on tv ever again. The trade rumors stopped so I guess I need to contact them again.  ;D

That will officially do end my being an Astros fan.

Thanks oldollie and Coog. It was not my intention to take anything away from the Ags, just trying to understand why winning all but one series all year long does not make a team the "champ". It does in high school and the pros. Like I said, gotta be some money involved.

Good job Ags, but I don't believe in conference championship tourneys for any sport. If two teams end up with identical records after the regular season, then head-to-head should determine the champ. It's got to be about money. Texas won every conference and non-conference series except for OK state. If the situations were reversed, then the Ags should have the same gripe as me.

One of my favs when I was a kid.

I work with a man who shopped his kid around for scholarship purposes. He said that if you "wow" them with your highlight clips, then you might get scouted. Scouts can do extended game clips if wanted, but coaches put their faith in their scouts as to whether or not the kid is the real deal. If not, then why have the scout? In these clips, one can see his ability to shed blocks, his quickness to the ball, and his never giving up on the play by making tackles downfield that were run away from him. Does this mean he will be in the NFL HOF? Who knows, but at least he should be given a look see at 16-17 years of age instead of negativity.

Only thing injured is his ego. Plus he can't pick up waitresses anymore since his lawyer advised him to take the drive-thru.
