Splitting 6A doesnt alleviate the issue...you'd still have the saame # of teams and same # of districts.....

Was told High Island has enough kids available to play but is electing not to play, not sure if its storm related??

Do they have the enrollment to play six-man or would they have to do outlaw?

Paris is not quite Argyle but they are a top 10-15 team in D1 made the regional finals last year

PG I think lost both their QBs in the season opener and playing a freshman....lets not forget Argyle and Paris are both really good

only local school looking is Tarkington and no way they play WOS...been quiet on the cancelation front because of the holiday..other teams possibly looking Dumas Childress Pilot Point Pottsboro Crane Jacksboro Cumby So no one exactly close

Ashly tweeted Jasper ISD closed til the 13th...that would knock out Jasper vs WOS next week also

Updates pushed today

yes I've been posting updates over there as people are wondering why schedules aren't updated etc

The app is owned by DCTF now, we are working on a major update/overhaul of the app....we are hoping to have it done by the end of next week

The enrollment disparity between the largest schools and smallest schools in the classification...new schools aren't built at 4A/3A they open as 5A/6A so as more new schools get added in it trickles down to 4A and widens that gap.....UIL wants to get as close to a 2:1 ratio as possible and right now the cut line in 4A is 1229 and the smallest is 515...thats a large gap.....we are adding ten new 5A/6A schools in 2022.....that gap in 4A is going to get even larger because more small 5A's are going to drop because there's only so many spots in 5A/6A and they already have a lot of nine and ten team districts

splitting 6A doesn't address this issues in 4A and to a lesser extent 3A...

If you are really into the in's and out's of realignment you can see this coming with all the growth....that trickle down into 4A is getting larger and larger every year
