United shouldn’t have much trouble against Ball.

Vidor has one kid who maxed out at 640 I believe at the regional meet. That kid happens to be a pretty good DT. Not every team has that either but it’s even less common to have 2 kids squatting at least 650 on the same team. Especially one of those being a RB lol. This is at the 4A D2 level btw.

OF also has a few guys that squat 650 plus including their big RB. I doubt if there are a lot of 4A teams who can say that

OF is just different. Doesn’t mean they’re better but they’re just different and they’re good at what they do.

Yea I’m listening and it sounds like Woodville started off dominating then Buna went to their other tactics. They got in their heads and caused them to make some mistakes plus there might have been a couple strait up bad calls also. Then Buna got some momentum going and made a couple big plays. Our guys have to realize what their up against and not let them get in their heads. Handle your business, get the W, and get out of there.

District opener. Should be an easy win for Woodville but I thought the same thing last year. It’ll be interesting to see how this matchup turns out with Buna running the new offense under the new HC. Looks like Buna has had a hard time adapting so far. Go eagles 🦅

If your familiar with both teams and how the game went last year plus the guys they bring back it’s not hard to see at all. It’s clear to see from Silsbee’s game against Vidor that their defense struggles against the slot. OF missing Babineux might hurt them defensively but then again the defense might not be on the field enough for it to matter.

Going into the season I was thinking win district and go at least 3 or 4 rounds deep in the playoffs. A state run is not impossible but it’s not likely in my mind. The way we’ve performed so far state is out of the question. Looks like we’ll be exiting second round again. Might not even win district

I hope we ain’t ducking no competition now. 1-3 shouldn’t even be a concern because it really doesn’t matter. We need all the issues exposed and fixed before the playoffs. The only reasonable reasons to cancel this game is covid or to avoid more injuries before district. Pre-district record doesn’t matter

Not real impressive honestly but its always good to get a W. Offense has to get a lot better. 🦅

Yea the personnel adjustment after what I think was a minor injury to Jack Fowler 3rd quarter was interesting also. Instead of going with our QB2 and probably our best playmaker Darius Bean we went wildcat or something and put our young receiver Ralon Williams behind center. That was a big decision down 21-7 with a chance for momentum to swing after a big stop and punt block by the defense. Then we put Jack back out there the next and last possession at the beginning of the 4th. He immediately threw a pick. I think the prior injury had something to do with that. Orangefield got the ball and never gave it back after that. Interesting decision there

Good game Orangefield. Good ball controll taking a lot of time off the clock even though our defense played pretty good. Especially second half. Our offense didn’t get a lot of possessions but managed to blow it every chance they had. You just can’t win games with turnovers, penalties, and missed opportunities. Good game for us to learn from though

Of course they don’t want to play Silsbee for their homecoming. Lol
