The word I got (and this was "third hand" info from my Tark friend, nothing more) is that he was super talented but too small to play Beaumont 5A or 6A ball, so instead wanted to star on a smaller 3A team. I hear you about the sorry BISD academics but there were closer districts. He literally had to drive though very viable Hamshire Fannett every day to get to Winnie. It was totally for football.

A lot of the EC hype dissipated when the Beaumont kids who drove in daily to play for them left. Discussion should be limited because it causes some here to become triggered, so thats all I will say, but you are correct.

I get your point but there are a number of HISD schools that would also have difficulty with 4A's. Actually I think Cleveland would stomp several of the HISD's.

I am not surprised. I tried to tell some influential (SB) folks that bringing in a coach would NOT morph BH into Allen. It sure didn't. Although I was hopeful for PNG I thought the same here, but its way, WAY early. Give him a chance.

This is the premier game this week.

Really going to miss our QB but life goes on. Kids have to suit up and step in and go to work! I still like our district it ought to be a fun year.

Thanks JimAdler, I think I just got my answer. I know it pains folks to admit it but honestly you take that one kid (that apparently did not live there) off those teams and they go nowhere. Likely 1st round exits. Wasn't he something like 60-70% of their offense? That kid ran wild through that district. Then the playoffs happened.

I think you would be a really good choice write them. I suggested that because of "your football knowledge". You can go back and look that up. I tried to give you a compliment, Maybe you missed that. As for Absek and BH, honestly you are too obsessed with the coach and program. Despite your football knowledge, you continue spread disinformation about BH. You don't need to take my word for it, others spoke up and verified it. I don't know why all cheap shots come at Absek from several people here. The guy is doing a good job with what he has to work with. I believe he will grow the program to new heights in the not to distant future. I fully support him. As I said before, I only care about Crosby one week out of the year. I am pretty neutral on Crosby the rest of the time. I would prefer just football talk, and I can amicably disagree. I may be in the minority but I don't care much who ultimately wins this. More important is getting good pre-district work in and avoiding more injuries. I would rather go 0-2 against real good teams than 2-0 against weaker ones.

Sometimes you hope for some real football discussion here but this forum has just gone off the rails. It needs to be renamed Smack Attack. Maybe thats what the owners of Setxsports want, and could consider the name change to accommodate the Crosby posters.
