Totally right. A lot of people don't get this, but I actually want my team(s) to lose a game before the playoffs, as long as it does not affect seeding or something. Then of course, no. A team with a bloody nose usually takes it out on their next opponent, and a team without so much as a scratch on them can think they are untouchable, just before they get knocked out. Few people will agree with me I know.

5AD1 District 8 and Region 2 discussion.

KP has PAM left. BH has PAM, Porter PAM has BH, KP. -
Just adding a thought here, depth generally matters more in football than any of the other sports in the smaller classes. The smallest school in a class with just one really dominate big man in basketball or one dominate pitcher can compete with anyone. In football one stud alone sure helps but you still need a O-line, a defense, etc. Of course there are occasional exceptions but I speak generally. I also believe if they did split every single sport up, people would complain its just too much and cry about wanting a single champ back in every thing but football. I disagree with some things the UIL does but I realize they can never please everyone. I think its best to leave it as it is. They got this right.

5AD2 Region 3 District 9 vs. 10

I would think LC football has siphoned lots of talent lately from the original Montgomery HS, which was 11-1 last year but just 1-7 so far this year. LC will clash with Brenham for their DC next week. BTW good luck vs. FBM next week. We support you guys. -

Lake Creek will be a hand full for anyone. They are large, physical and efficient. Rabid, loud fan base too. -
LP without their RB means LP will struggle a lot. No way around it.

PAM absolutely can win. PAM is 7-1 and beat a team BH lost to by 3TD's (yes I know there is another side to that coin). PAM is also going to be playing with a chip next week, and PAM plays BH in Port Arthur. PAM will have athletes all over the field. BH will have refocus quickly and play their very best next week v. PAM. (and NO I don't need a dog.)

Not true. I called it a "trap game" days before it was played, and people OF COURSE disagreed with me. BH was coming off of an emotional win... several players out... playing a very physical team.... on the road. It was pretty easy for me to see BH was ripe for a loss that week.

Man I was going to watch your game at the link you provided toady, but you "spoiled it". All good. Congrats. -
I am not scared of anything. I don't know why you are interpreting it that way. I was just being courteous. I didn't want to jump and speak for someone else, I just wanted to add my view to what was being discussed. That's how this works. You need to chill. And no need for lipping off about "buying a dog". Unnecessary. BTW I gave them high praise in the other thread: Huge win for BH. Absek clearly has the program pointed in the right direction. Great effort by the boys, they dug in and battled well in the trenches vs. a significantly larger opponent. Intensity was displayed on both sides of the ball. BH still in building mode, lots of underclassmen already contributing. Celebrate the win then straight back to business Monday morning. Keep the foot on the gas! Well done Eagles! Did you miss that?
