Who are the Cleveland coaches that are saying their Hispanic kids can't compete? Is it the head coach? a few? or the whole staff? Cleveland ISD needs to know their names so they can take action and replace those coaches with ones who don't have prejudice against Hispanic athletes. Since you already voiced this, please name their names here for all to see. This racism of judging athletes by ethnicity and skin color cannot be allowed in our schools.

Exactly. "Upfront and honest" is a euphemism he uses for taking unnecessary shots at a program that just got a rare win. Why can't the win just be congratulated, or at the very least just be left alone? What good is it to try to discredit and devalue it? What does he accomplish or change for the better by doing this? He never suggested any solution, he just wants to criticize. And making it into a racial commentary? Dang.

I just don't think posting that "Hispanics have destroyed two programs" is constructive or called for at all. That's why I congratulated the Rangers. Encouragement is much better than taking an unnecessary swipe at someone after they just got a win. I hope they get more.

I agree. Improvement will be slow and steady but they will get there. Mid season is what I say.

A loss is a loss and the score is what it is. If you look deeper though the O gave away 14 points, in addition to keeping the D on the field the entire 1st half. Take away the free 14 points Katy was given by the O and the score is 27-14. A little different. Bottom line is the D played tough despite the final score even though the O kept them in a bind almost all night. Once the O gets going I feel confident the new system will get rolling. Katy was a very good team. Like I predicted a month ago, a 1-4 start would not surprise me, but that would still leave BH 1-1 in district at that point. Give the team and new coach at least the first half of the coaches first year before judging them too hard. I see potential.

I understand they have 3100+ enrollment and still growing fast. 6A for sure.

I think the D stood up real well in the 1st half. They were on the field 95% of the time, and only gave up 14 points against a larger team. The other 6 points belongs to the O and punt team.

"seven or eight" is a whole lot for a 4A team. Heck its a lot for anyone.

Thats the first game I made this year. The Lady Eagles were just overmatched height-wise by 6A Clear Lake.

That's what I am going to do. I was going but since Carthage is playing shorthanded I just don't think its worth it. TV for me.

I cannot find the "Games Near Me" search feature. I used to be able to search in a 25, or 50, or 100 mile radius for any games being played. Does the app still have that capability?

I am sincerely sorry to hear that. Its hard to bury people in your community and then gear up for a football game while playing shorthanded and possibly even being infectious. I had planned on going tomorrow but now I am just going to wish everyone from both communities the best.

No one wants to bump up into NS's district, but you have to go where your numbers take you. I think when (if) 7A likely comes, this settles things out.
