Green, we don't mean anything by it. We probably do take a few to many cheap shots.

I did, four of them.

Dayton - West Orange Scrimmage Time

If WOS's JV is anything like last year's, they won't be able to scrimmage. They only had about 8 players on the JV, pulled most of the freshman up to play the JV game after the freshman game was played. Who won? And the point of your question? I was just pointing out that last year the Stangs did not field 2 complete teams for freshman and jv and IF that is the case this year, they would not be able to scrimmage the freshman and jv at the same time like it was posted earlier. That was all that I was pointing out. It had nothing to do with how successful they were. BTW, I know who won the one game I witnessed them play. Some of you Stang fans always get on the defensive. Geez. : Hmmm... From your reaction, I'm going to guess that WOS won. I didn't know. Since you couldn't just answer the question, I'm going to go ahead and add that I think it's pretty impressive that the WOS Freshman team beat the silsbee JV. And the point of my question was... Who won? Silsbee OK... so Silsbee won? Then why would you react the way you did? Do you remember the score? -

Hater... -
Amen bro! I don't even let my wife go there anymore. If we need something from there, I go. The female factor equates to a 15-25% cost increase... :'(

I think it was like 7-6 or 13-6, it was a good one. That was the game between this years seniors. My son made a long run 30 or 40 yds) for the only TD we scored and I would love to have that footage. I was talking to one of the coaches who had the freshman team that year. He's knows of one parent who usually records those games. When I see that parent I'll ask him about it and let you know.
-
Man, I don't know of anyone who would have that. I don't even think the school records Freshman games. I'll check around, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I remember that being a really good game. I didn't see it, but the Freshman coach told me about it. Didn't that game end in a 27-27 or 28-28 tie or something like that?
-
Heck no!!! If I let the wife loose in WM for a couple hours I won't be able to afford to get into the games... :
-
I'll definitely be going to some. Don't forget about the 7th, 8th and 9th grade teams either. The good thing about it is there is usually a game to see every week. When the varsity is at home, the 7th and 8th grade games are here too. When they are away, the 9th and jv games are here. Now that they have college games during the week, these games on Thursday, varsity on Fri, College again on sat (plus some jr football since td's kids are playing again) and pro on Sunday & Mon it's very easy for me to get my football fix. The wife wants to commit suicide, but, hey, it's just for 4 months, right?

Don't know why people have to be like that, but you are so right. That's when you tell the parents, "I'm not telling you when to take vacation. I'm telling you when practice starts. If you miss practice, you have to pay the price if you want to be on this team. So take vacation when you want, just remember the consequences." Wonder where I learned that...
-
I will usually make the home games. I like to see what we have coming up.

Since the scrimmage is in Dayton, not Orange, and Dayton is apparently calling all the shots, do any of you well informed Dayton folks know if it will be a 4 qtr game situation scrimmage like usual or will it be plays? -
What is it, 10 stands for every day you miss? He better not be gone for long.

You wouldn't opt for it. I was saying "What do you call a Mustang football player that doesn't show up for practice?" The answer is you call him a Bear. Apparently my attempt at humor was over looked or maybe just enjoyed by me. Either way it was a joke. Yes, I understood what you were saying. My post actually had 2 parts the srious part about 1 player not showing," I hear there was one "potential" key player not show for WOS yesterday. It may have something to do with this storm though." Then the playing off of your joke part,"Why on earth would you opt to be a Bear with the team WOS will have compared to what the Bears will have? They may go 0-fer this season." You know, now he's a Bear, why would he make such a mistake type of thing? Oh well, I obviously didn't do a very good job so I'll just shut up. At this point I appear to have opened my mouth and removed all doubt, right? : : : : : : : : : : : : :

I think he means the coaches at WOS wont put up with any bs and they can go across town and do what they want to and still start for Moody. That is what he mean't and that's what I mean't...

Yeah, Beasley is there and competing for the starting Corner spot. I think the names mentioned in the article are the guys competing at Safety. -

Gasilla replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I can't remember who it was, but I was arguing with someone here a couple of years ago when Wells and Thomas were in highschool. They said that Wells was better suited to play at the next level because he was 6'1" and Thomas was only 5'10". I told him that what he lacked vertically he made up for with mental toughness. I guess the UT DC is seeing the same thing... ;D -
