I was surprised. This was one of X's more reasonable visits.
I never really understood the Watts termination. From what the media aired her troubles were minimal compared to others in the district. The only thing I recall was she had not paid past invoices from Pepsi. I think there must be more to the story. JMO
When some on here criticize Bush I don't just assume they're doing it because he's white. I assume they didn't agree with him. Why can't others just disagree with Obama without being racist?
Accepting Christ is not only inviting him in to your life but more so being willing to offer yourself to him.
Many are more than willing to accept Christ as their Savior. They will gladly accept the free gift (to them) of eternal Salvation. When asked if they're willing to make him Lord of their life is where the reluctance comes in; not so willing to surrender all (or even some)
A sinner's prayer is not necessarily wrong even though the prayer is not in the bible. I feel it is a good tool to lead those through the initial acknowledgement and confession of sins and accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I also think the non-biblical opinion of asking Jesus into our heart is splitting hairs. You can ask him into your heart, body, soul, life, whatever; Jesus knows your heart and intent and He will squabble over proper working. JMO
As Romans states;
That if you confess with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
It took a while to log in today so let's go a little different direction. We can never have too much grace, I don't care who you are.
This is my favorite rendition. Give it a chance. Go ahead, turn it up.

I have a good idea. Tell Mexico we'll trade them 1000 of their citizens that we have as prisoners for our one soldier. Pretty good deal don't you think?
Very timely. Coincidentally (not) I've been reading the beginning of Genesis for the last few mornings and had some thoughts and questions on Cain and Abel. They both brought sacrificial offerings to God. How did they know to do that? It was either from Adam's teachings or direct communication from God. According to scripture God spoke to Cain directly about his unacceptable offering. You would think God also had communication with Abel, especially since God found favor with Abel. I would certainly be believable for him to have been a prophet.
Another enquiring thought though. Scripture specifically said God found favor with Abel but Abel ended up being murdered by his brother. There's a lot of room for discussion there but I think it would just boil down to various opinions.
Thanks for the post JV
I've read what could be perceived as more offensive statements from many on this forum than Sterling's statement; on both sides of the fence. I'm just sayin'
I can appreciate the loyalty some on here have to BISD. They keep bailing (defending) trying/hoping to keep the boat from totally sinking. However, it's really hard to ignore what appears to be more leak than your buckets can handle.
I really hope the best for BISD, whatever process necessary
I am not black so I don't know what it's like to be black. I am neither American Indian, Jewish, Muslim, a war veteran, gay, a sexual assault victim, a cancer patient, etc. the list goes on. So what's your point? Must everyone has there own personal stories or challenges.
