There lies the problem. I disagree. The history of our founders varies according to who’s interpreting the narrative. The one thing that no one talks much about, the Bible trumps our constitution. As a nation, we cannot expect Gods favor while pushing him out. However, I understand that’s not a considerable concern for those that don’t honor Gods supremacy or his word.

My third grade granddaughter came home telling me all about the Greek gods and what they represented. By the way, she perceived them as real. But discussing God, the creator of the universe and all mind kind is off limits.
