  1. In high school if I wanted to do anything other than sit in my room, I needed a C or better - If it was a D, it was an F in my Dad’s grading scale. I guess I come from a time when I was more concerned about consequences at home than school.
  2. I'm still wide open in the stock market at 60 years old - In a couple years I'm going to get more conservative, but history of stock market, it always climbs...I don't understand ETF's - I will invest in them at some point, but as much as I would spend at the Casino
  3. When Dems do it, it's legit and above board......when Trump does it.....well, you know the narrative - Hypocrisy
  4. I see a reason for the protection, I really do, should it be policed more, absolutely. Do I see it changing - nope. I don't know your opinion of Trump, but removing that slush fund is probably something he would do. I think the biggest reason there is such pushback with Trump with the old schoolers is he is not afraid to change traditional norms.
  5. Right now real clear politics has Trump at 42.7 as of yesterday. As a comparison, Bush was at 41.3 and Obama at 44.2. Don't get your hopes up that Trump is going to fail.. Democrats ripping speeches his last term and this time boycotting the State of the union....only helps Trump btw
  6. Cannot always believe news polls - Based on the success Trump had in 2016 and 2024, Trumps polling systems are much more accurate than what we see.....and my guess is the Democrats internal polling is probably just as accurate, but either side would not admit they are losing.
  7. That is called calling out "Hypocrisy" - the only defense is a made up word
  8. Since 1947 (79 years) and 1995 (31 years) .....Yet, to my knowledge not one single post about any of it that I can remember here - I don't see much or any talk about it on CNN, FOX or any social media platforms. It does not appear enough people think it is a problem to make a change. What I see the most of is Trump is mean, Trumps a crook, Trump this and Trump that......Things that really don't matter to the majority of Americans
  9. Which makes your complaints more entertaining.
  10. I was going to comment on your "political prosecutions" comment because you blindly ignored Biden's 4 years....but the more mean comment......really lol
  11. Gotta cut me a little slack, I am at work....lol
  12. Border - A++ (Giving ++ because Biden claimed he needed Congress to fix the border) Crime - A Economy - C+ Foreign Policy - B+ Overall - B ++
  13. No surprises from the peanut gang
  14. None of that matters, including your opinion. There are not term limits and we didn't even put a term limit on the President until 1947...and that was due to a Democratic President serving 4 terms.....although he only made 11 weeks into his 4th term....and Democrats up in arms about Trump....LOL The Congress Accountability Act was passed in 1995, 390-0 House and 98-1 Senate (ironically Robert Byrd was the only one that opposed it) - signed in to law by Pervert and Chief Bill Clinton. Like it or not, it was set up not to bankrupt Congressmen when sued doing their job. With the sweeping votes on both sides, both sides thought it was necessary and it will never go away.....
  15. Congressmen are powerful people who's reputation is valuable to them for reelection. The accusations of wrong doing morally or criminally can end a career. There are many, probably majority of congressmen that would have a hard time paying for attorneys to clear their name on a 175K average salary. Settlements are cheaper that a long court battle. We don't want to discourage people running for congress. Below is an example. Example, I built a home years ago and had to hire an attorney because my home builder was not paying for materials. He was trying to build a second house and charge materials. I was 150% in the right, and an easy case......however, his attorney said I owed him money because I didn't pay him for some of his work. His attorney said they would settle for $7000.00. I was a hard no, lets take this thing to court. My attorney wisely advised that if we had to go to court, his bill would be north of 10K. Then he advised if the jury find me liable for $1.00, I would be responsible for their attorneys fee's which would be more than his..... I was left with pay 7K and close on my house or risk paying north of 20K and postpone my closing by months...... So, I'm not totally against this "slush" fund.....
  16. Not a good look for Gavin...... But at the same time, if they still vote for him, maybe he is right..... Biden got majority of the black vote, and said if you don't vote for me, you ain't black..... Hillary claimed she kept hot sauce in her purse....... I guess, sometimes the truth is not a good look.
  17. Why would anyone try to understand a platform that you can hear directly from Congressman and politicians when you can just wait for CNN to tell you what they said😂
  18. Biden did the same thing paying off college debt for votes…. Trump is using another statute, he is not defying the court……and you know that…..
  19. Do you disagree with price gouging laws? Banks have had restrictions and last 20 years have had to jump through hoops to stay profitable Research Frank - Dodd Act - Obama Credit Card Act 2009 CRA 1977 - (big one that causes banks to loan to lower income) I’m not big on government oversight, but at the same time I do not like predatory lending
  20. I honestly think the 10% cap on credit cards is a great idea. The point about they would only give cc’s to people with high credit scores that had less of a risk to pay it back and not to people who have bad credit scores is a win for the bank! The truth is, it is a win for customers who get credit cards, go crazy and spend more than they can afford…. There’s also a way around that, limit risk by limiting exposure. The person that got a $2000 credit card limit with 30% interest, now gets an $800 credit limit at 10%. As for mortgages and taxes….it is typically not the loan that gets you, it’s the taxes and insurance that consistently goes up. I’ve always wanted a house on the water, but flood alone was $3900 a year….add windstorm and fire policy, along with taxes, that would add almost $1000 a month to your mortgage
  21. Is it? Members of Congress has seen everything unreacted. If they’ve seen evidence, name the names
  22. The details are unproven hearsay….. someone can say something, but if there is no evidence to prove it, what good is it. ?
  23. There is another tread somewhere where everyone thinks it is in bad taste. Trump gave an explanation - some understood, some didn't
