  1. Very good point, especially the last line.
  2. That brings up a point I was thinking about. The media is always looking for a story. They will focus on the negative, the cops or racial issues or whatever will sell. This guy waited until the camera was on his victim before he fired. He wanted the world to see and knew exactly how to do it. Then the media does exactly what he hopes they will do and blast it all over the place.....in a nut shell, he won. I wonder if the crazies will start retaliating on the media for inaccurate or swayed coverage? I wonder if the media will take this as a wake up call?
  3. I bet you have a "TRUMP" bumper sticker:)
  4. In a way I'm kinda glad to know he was a "bad seed" based on other students his age. This particular story hit pretty close to home. A very dear friend had her 20 YO die in a work related accident and she is a basket case. Probably about to loose her job and basically has given up on life. I can't imagine going through that same pain and knowing he was killed committing a felony.
  5. I bet all ISD's have money issues..... Mismanagement is one thing.....but stealing is another
  6. All mouth.... Were did anyone state ALL poor people are waiting for handouts?
  7. This comment says a lot. It takes a real stupid man to work hard and have a net worth of 4 billion.
  8. Good one......lol
  9. There are some links that actually show the killer with a mask. Horrible...... [Hidden Content]
  10. Yup.....I sure did. Computer was acting up. Tobie comparing Bland to Columbus day......Ridiculous comparison.
  11. This is exactly what is wrong with our country right now. It seems for every wrong doing we are looking for someone else to blame.
  12. Thoughts....... City of Prairie View votes to rename street after Sandra Bland [Hidden Content]
  13. I see your point......but we may have to disagree.....but we will see:)
  14. Like I have said from the start, He will eventually help the Republican party. He is making the democrats talk about things they would rather not. Hell, he is making everyone talk about things they really don't want to. It will come down to who has the better plan on the issues.
  15. Kinda what I was thinking. I can't imagine how I would handle that if it was my Son. I know I would want to remember all the good..... Still curious as to why......and we probably will never know.
  16. I saw this on Facebook. I'm not sure what to think about it. I'm waiting for an explanation as to why he went in the house and what he was planning to steal....if anything.....
  17. I was thinking the same thing. I was going to make a long comment, but it would be a waste of time.
  18. I honestly try to look at his actions as neutral as I can. Sometimes I understand why he is doing something even though I don't agree.....Other times I have no clue what he is thinking.....This falls under the I have no clue category.
  19. you know they fry the gizzards in the same grease with the shrimp.......
  20. Good Point Dang, did I just say that??????
  21. Come on Prepball......we could use some help.....lol
  22. that is when you make an "educated" guess;)
  23. I was not a "good student" by any means of the term. I would of much rather been doing anything but homework. My parents however, didn't accept bad grades......so I had to do homework on my own or because they made me. I did the absolute minimum I had to in order to stay unpunished. I, like you, always managed to pass.
  24. I'm not so sure what is wrong with STAAR. My Son (who I am very proud of), HATES reading......Hates it....I have to stay on him to get his AR points.....but he has never had a problem with the STAAR test. He scores about average. Could it be I stay on him during the school year and make sure he has good grades? I only accept A's & B's at my house. I do not "make" him study if he brings home A's and B's, and he better get A's in anything non-academic. If he makes a C, it's 1 hour mandatory study time every night, and no week day extracurricular's. This formula seems to work for me. I wonder how many parents don't make their kids study throughout the year, then complain when they cannot pass the STAAR?
