  1. The First Amendment Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Maybe you can explain how refusing a reporter in the white house violates any of the above?
  2. Nope, and Kash should be voted in tomorrow.
  3. I would like to hear from your perspective what could be done (that is not being done) in Port Arthur and Beaumont to get crime down below the state average. THAT would be a good topic.:)
  4. In my defense either the media or police changed their wording. Example - they went from claiming they would not respond to minor assaults and auto burglaries, to they would not respond to cold reports or burglaries/minor assaults after the perps have left. I still don't see how announcing auto burglaries are a "minor offense" is helpful.
  5. He does not like wars. This was not only a campaign promise, this is something he has said for years. He wants to make a deal. You can't make a deal if you tell the other side what you won't do. You also can't expect change if you attack the problem the same way every time......
  6. Starting Feb. 17, officers will no longer be dispatched for certain minor offenses, including minor assaults, auto burglaries, criminal mischief, forgery and fraud. That sure sounds like a gift for folks that like breaking into vehicles...... [Hidden Content]
  7. 4 years of high inflation and Democrats were silent.......3 weeks into Trumps presidency and this is the headline EVERY DAY🤣 Ya'll keep it up.....maybe it will work for 2026 and 2028....it sure didn't work for 2024.
  8. Really? No idea what he is doing? That TDS is strong..... I may have agreed with you in 2016 and we probably both would of been right......but this second term he has been moving so fast and precise that Democrats don't even know what to be mad about🤣
  9. It does not surprise me. lol
  10. Welp, Mexico gave in, and about 40 minutes ago, Justin Trudeau just committed to 1.3 billion border plan - reinforcing border with new choppers, technology and personnel...... They are also creating a Fentanyl Czar and committing 200 million to fight drug trafficking..... I'm pretty good at math, Trump's 2 for 2
  11. We spend billions on housing/food and medical care for immigrants. You don't think that money would be better spent on our own poor citizens?
  12. You can choose not to participate, that's a freedom. For me personally, I want what's best for me and my family and I'll vote for who I think does it. Trump is try to get Fentanyl to stop coming across the border and equal some of our trade deals with other countries......I don't see why both parties can't agree that is a good thing.
  13. Mexico and Canada will not win a trade war with the USA......period....not even in the Democratic universe. Trump knows this and so does Canada and Mexico. What I find funny is just a few weeks ago the Democrats talking points was the economy was just fine and inflation was coming down.....but now that Trump's President, they are all of a sudden worried about prices....The American people see through that.....2026 is looking better and better for Republicans.
  14. Ya think........lol 72.5% of the population in the US identify as white versus 7.2% identify as Asian......it should be no shocker there would be more white Doctors graduating than Asian. It is math not discrimination....smh
  15. Not sure what is required, but did listen to someone that said a collision avoidance system would not work on that helicopter due to how old it is, and in combat they fly close sometimes and it would not be practical.
  16. That is a bunch - I'm the same way, I rarely call in - only exception was covid....they made me stay home...lol
  17. Completely
  18. This seems like a fair system, but I do see flaws using this for other jobs. I'm not sure a test can measure personality, drive or work ethic. In my company I have a good reputation for hiring good people that tend to stay around 5+ years. My secret is NOT using the company interview questions. People, even dumb ones, can google standard interview questions and find acceptable answers. So, I come from around the desk, sit next to them and ask open ended questions. If they can engage in a conversation, I will learn more from them that way versus the company directed questions. You would be surprised what you get from these "casual conversations" - I had one person tell me, once a week was an acceptable amount of days to call in.......They did not get hired.....
  19. I don't think there is some weird plot going on - but strange
  20. I'm going to move this to the locker room as I did Reagans post about same subject
  21. From experience - I applied and got meals on wheels for my Father the last year he was attempting to live alone. The only think he would eat is the canned fruit. After a week of trying to get him to eat the food, I called to cancel. It took the a month to stop delivering to him. While I think it is a good program, it could be re-looked at to avoid waste
  22. How about we don't include name or race on the job application or college admission. When I managed Service Merchandise (I had 100 employees) - when I received applications. I made copies of them leaving out name and address. I gave them to my hiring manager and he called them in for interviews not knowing name, age sex or race. He and she(I had a couple) called them in based on qualifications ......and that was from 1996 to 2002....
