BUMP Tariff discussion was almost to the bottom of page 2.......hmmmm Anyone notice anything with the stock market yesterday? Looks like we are finalizing a deal with Japan and China. Anyone change their minds about Trump and the tariff's?

I think this is the elephant in the room that no one wants to address. There are so many people that work crappy jobs to support themselves and their families and never think getting government assistance. Yet there are TOO MANY that just accept Government assistance. We somehow have to convince people they will he happier and have a sense of pride when they work and EARN a living..... My Father taught me several things, but his most important were life lessons......here are the ones that stuck with me (that I also taught my Son) 1. There is no embarrassment in having a low wage job - embarrassment is when you have no job. 2. When you are at work, if there is nothing to do, grab a shovel and dig a hole......when you're done, if there is still nothing to do, fill it up. Repeat until there is something to do lol 3. Never place your hands in your pocket when you are at work, that is a sign of lazy. So basically his thoughts were there is no reason to not have a job. He worked an instrument mechanic for "Gulf" and very good at that job. When they would strike, he would go work at the Orange Rice Mill slinging sacks of rice off the trains, or work at a body shop, painting cars. He was a worker! THAT is the mentality we need to establish in 2025 - too many people expect things for free and the Government has also been a player making it too easy to get free stuff.

There is no world where Kamala wins a primary after her awful last run. Another run would be horrific..... While Kamala holds a lot of responsibility with her losing, the Democrats set her up in a no win situation IMO. There is actually positive things going on about the trade deals in China. Trump just overseen the signing of a peace deal between Cambodia and Thailand.....as well as 18 Cambodian soldiers. I paid $2.29/gallon for gas yesterday.....

And why would you want to cut Military spending? There are 8 conflicts going on, Trump made peace deals with 7 - Ukraine and Russia is NOT looking good. While I think we could end Russia pretty quickly, that is only because we fund our military

Perhaps the Democrats should allow and not fight....maybe join in and embrace DOGE and cutting unnecessary expenses...... The problem is Democrats will scream he is taking away all the social programs.....fact is, we probably need to take away some. I think we need to tighten up the qualifications for all social programs. I think we need to re-look at unemployment benefits. When I was 19 or 20, I went and applied for unemployment and I didn't have to accept a lower paying wage than what I was making.....I ended up getting a job because the line was too long back then to wait....(that is how lazy I was back then lol) - Now days it is done by computer, so you don't even have to get off the couch......That needs to change! He sued them before he was elected. His attorneys will tell him to table it, and resume it after he leaves office. There is enough evidence just in the Mueller report and what was found that they knew there was no Russian interference, yet continued to pursue him to make an excellent case......and by the end of his term, they will find more.

Some of the TDS in this forum is insane. Since when is it a bad idea to have allies? I remember when Trump made history being the first President to walk into North Korea. The media and his haters thought he was crazy.....we don't negotiate with terrorist.....but here we are in his second term and he had negotiated 7 cease fires........but the TDS folks are complaining because he is adding on to the East wing with his own money plus donors......

Here is the problem Democrats face. The shutdown is not being blamed on Trump. Trump as of today has an AVERAGE approval rating of 45.5% On the same polling site, Obama had an AVERAGE approval rating of 43.7% on Oct 21st in the first year of his second term, so apples to apples..... If you look at the favorability ratings, leaders in Congress and senate on both sides don't look great, but Republicans have a slightly better favorability than Democrats...... I predict enough Dem's vote yes to get this thing through by the end of the week.

And he received a lot of flack from his base. He is in a bad situation. I think he is hoping some other Democrats vote to spare him this time
